Our story begins in Carini, a town in Palermo, Sicily, that inspired the name of our restaurant. In 1976, Giosue and Rosalia Sanzone came to America with a passion for authentic Italian cuisine and a dream of sharing traditional recipes rooted in family and heritage. That dream became a reality in 1978 when they opened Carini Italian Restaurant in Richmond, VA, bringing the flavors of Sicily to their new hometown.

Today, their daughter Maria Sanzone proudly carries on the Carini family tradition, continuing a commitment to fresh ingredients, time-honored recipes, and genuine hospitality.
